Experience Stolberg on the "Copper City Cycle Route"

On this circular cycle tour, you cycle along the idyllic course of the River Inde and get to know Stolberg's surroundings. The numerous copper yards and the castle of the town of Stolberg are particularly worth seeing.

Highlights along the way:

Step 1 - Indetal nature reserve:

At the start, you follow the course of the Inde river through the picturesque Indetal valley. On your way, you will come across the three former mills Buschsmühle, Hausmühle and Bocksmühle. Today, they are representative of the centuries-old tradition of metal processing in Stolberg. Continuing along the Inde, also known here as Münsterbach, you finally reach the village of Breinig.

Step 2 - Building culture in Breinig:

The listed street "Alt Breinig" awaits you in the village. The rows of houses made of local quarry stone and bluestone are very typical of the region, so you shouldn't miss them on your cycle tour.

Step 3 - saving the best for last, Stolberg:

You finally cycle through the Stolberg forest back to the copper town of Stolberg and cycle into the cozy old town. Here you can take a stroll through Stolberg with a view of the medieval castle. Numerous restaurants offer refreshments after the sport.

As the name of the cycle tour suggests, you will also come across some of the famous copper courtyards in Stolberg. They reflect the history of the town and can only be found in Stolberg today.
