Train like a pro! Experience one of former professional cyclist Jens Heppner's favorite cycling tours on this almost 150 km tour through the Eifel and the Belgian Ardennes. The 1994 German champion and Tour de France stage winner has made the three-country region around Aachen his adopted home and takes you on a tour through the beautiful landscape of the Eifel and Ardennes.

The tour starts at the parking lot of the border triangle on the Vaalserberg, from where it first descends into Belgium in the direction of Kelmis, Hauset and in Lichtenbusch back into the Aachen city region for the first time. The route now climbs steadily and gently from Schmithof along the Vennbahn through the Eifel and the High Fens. At kilometer 55, it is worth taking a detour to the beautiful old town of Monschau.

Shortly before Sourbrodt, at kilometer 70, the Vennbahn is left behind and the tour plunges into the beautiful landscape of the Walloon Fens - from here it becomes undulating and the typical Belgium of the northern Ardennes reveals itself in all its rugged beauty. Via Cockaifagne, Solwaster and Jalhay, the route leads back into the Weser valley on a rushing descent past the Lac de la Gileppe. Soon after, we reach Eupen and, passing the Weser dam, the tour climbs back up into the Venn and towards Roetgen. From Roetgen, the route now heads towards Raeren, where we rejoin the path known from the start of the tour. In contrast to the outward route, the route now descends slightly for just under 20km back towards Dreiländerpunkt, which is the last challenge of the day from Gemmenich. After almost 150km and 1250m, the tour ends at the Vaalserberg.
