At 19 kilometers, the second longest of the indeland cycle routes takes cyclists to the imposing Obbendorf Castle manor. Shooting shafts, weirs and corridors are reminders of the old days. Today, the castle is a peaceful country estate with extensive parkland and houses a hotel and restaurant, inviting cyclists to take a break and recharge their batteries. Other highlights on the Ellebachroute Ost are the moated castle and the leisure park in Niederzier, which lies like a quiet oasis between Niederzier and Oberzier and offers play and sports facilities for children, young people and the young at heart, paths for walks and short hikes, as well as park benches along the lake and the streams.
