Ein Wasserfall und ein Canyon
Right at the start of the hike, the unspoiled nature of the places will surprise you. The scenery is even more beautiful when it is adorned with magnificent autumnal colors. The stream is already rushing at your feet: The pyrite-rich water takes on a strange, slightly reddish hue.
As you climb the small hill, you can already hear the roar of the waterfall as it pours down nine meters into a large basin. An amazing sight for our "flat" country.
It reminds you that the nearby area of the High Fens is an oversized sponge, with lots of water pouring into the valleys and reservoirs. Keep climbing, the summit is not far away.
Shortly after crossing the Tîrifaye Fens, you will descend through a landscape that is in no way inferior to a mountainous region. Along the banks of the Pouhon stream, the narrow canyon formed by the stream is accentuated by logging.
Here and there, small wooden bridges allow you to cross places that would otherwise have to be forded: the more adventurous among you will love this hike!
