Barrierefrei Wandern am Herzogenrather Weiher
Alsdorf
You can start at junction 5, close to the Bergerstraße parking lot, where five new disabled parking spaces have also been set up. A tactile panel with the route has also been set up there, which enables visually impaired and blind people to find their way around independently. The path consists of fine gravel, but also has minor bumps that can be easily negotiated with a walking aid or wheelchair. There are only slight inclines and a new ramp makes the top of the dyke easily accessible. There are several places to sit along the 1.6 km route and a restaurant with a lovely terrace right by the lake. The restaurant also has an accessible toilet. Please note that this is only accessible during opening hours.
