Agrippastraße: Etappe 4: Von Nettersheim über Blankenheim nach Dahlem
Continue along the Agrippstraße, initially on field and cycle paths. After the ascent from the Königsberg valley, you cycle back down into the Urftal valley and then, after a while, turn right at a farm. The path meanders along a railroad line through idyllic woodland and along agricultural land until you reach a level crossing where you cross the line.
Surrounded by agricultural land, you make your way past Nettersheim to Schliefenbach. There you can take a breather at the partially reconstructed Roman temple "Görresburg". Due to its proximity to the Agrippa Road, the Roman matronly sanctuary was not only visited by locals, but also by travelers. Even today, offerings such as fruit or crops can often be found in front of the consecration stones. Just a few meters further along the Roman road is another relic from a bygone era, the Vicus Marcomagus. If you wish, you can read more about the area on exciting information boards.
The route continues through shady wooded areas along a railroad line and follows a dirt track through an idyllic natural landscape towards Blankenheimdorf. In the village, you can replenish your supplies before making your way past farms and meadows towards Schmidtheim.
Having just arrived in Schmidtheim, you leave it again to cycle the last section of the Agrippastrasse through relaxing forests and finally finish at the Jakobsweg cycle station.
