From the old De Winselerhof farm, now used as a hotel and with convenient parking, you walk straight into the beautiful nature reserve between Kerkrade and Landgraaf. In this valley where the Strijthagerbeek flows you will find beautiful, densely wooded slopes and golden saxifrage and field cherry growing alongside this lovely stream. This is where the badger hides, the yellowhammer flies and butterflies swarm. Follow the Strijthagerbeek all the way to the elegant Strijthagen castle as signposted by red posts with a light green band.
