For over a hundred years, the Vennbahn was the iron link between Aachen and the north of Luxembourg. Today, it is one of the longest cross-border railway-trace cycling routes in Europe. It was this railway line that in the past brought the prosperity to this unique natural and cultural region along the German-Belgian border, deep in the heart of Europe. The Vennbahn has seen a lot of history in that time, and played a role in some of it itself. Today, the stage is set for a new era.
