The South Limburg landscape is ideally suited for a beautiful cycle tour. The Amstel Gold Race route, the only cycling classic in the Netherlands, is a tough challenge for any cycling tourist. If you follow the route signs for the Amstel Gold Race (Loop 1), you'll come face to face with various notorious South Limburg slopes. This route is a true experience, where you will encounter several well-known steep hills such as Cauberg, Adsteeg and Fromberg. It's a mouth-watering tour for enthusiasts. You will be amazed by the glorious countryside, the beautiful panoramic views and of course the many terraces where you can take a break. You can park at the Amstel Gold Race Xperience in Valkenburg and depart from there as well. You can also enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in Valkenburg afterwards.
