Varnenum

Not far from the tranquil Kornelimünster, Varnenum, named after the deities Varneno and Sunuxal worshipped there, is made up of the remains of three Roman temples. These and other finds in Aachen indicate that there was once a Roman fort here and that Roman Aachen was therefore larger than previously assumed.
