Ponttor

Surrounded by the city wall, it used to only be possible to enter the center of Aachen via one of the eleven city gates, two of which were the Ponttor and the Marschiertor. The western north gate from the 14th century has been preserved to this day with its front and main castle. Especially in the evening, when the Ponttor is bathed in a special light, it is worth taking a short walk there.
