What's going on in Aachen? There is definitely the market square. During the day, the cafés and small stores invite you to take a leisurely stroll around the square in the heart of the city. In the evening, when the setting sun bathes the market in a warm light, the day comes to a pleasant end with a glass of wine or dinner in one of the many restaurants and bars. The square also lives up to its name, as the Aachen weekly market takes place here on Tuesdays and Thursdays against the historic backdrop of the town hall.
