Kugelbrunnen

In Aachen, water and technology go hand in hand. The artist Albert Sous from Würselen was aware of this in 1977 and used old washing machine drums to construct a fountain that moves using purely mechanical hydraulics powered by water pressure. Within a few minutes, the ball turns into a large flower, creating an extraordinary work of art in the middle of the city center.
