Karlshofbrunnen

A little hidden behind the market pharmacy is the Karlshof, which offers a quiet alternative to the bustling market square, especially in summer when the tables of the cafés and restaurants are also outside. The fountain in the middle of the courtyard throws small fountains into the air and provides a wet cool-down on hot days. Its bronze reliefs depict the seven liberal arts and are reminiscent of the scholars that Charlemagne once gathered in Aachen.
