Kaiser-Friedrich-Park
Aachen
The remains of a former customs house can still be admired at the main entrance to Kaiser-Friedrich-Park, which has two large bluestone pillars. The focal point of the beautiful park is the pond, known as the "Hangeweiher". Not only can you enjoy a peaceful picnic by the pond, you can also sail across the pond on a pedal boat or go for a jog around the pond. Since 1923, the end of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Park has been adorned with the Triton Fountain by Carl Burger, affectionately known as the "Aquarius" by the people of Aachen.
