The Elisenbrunnen, which consists of an open Wandelhalle and two pavilions, is known for its foul-smelling thermal water. The two drinking fountains of the Elisenbrunnen in Aachen provide 52° C warm sulphurous water. However, the unpleasant smell, based on the high sulphur content of the water, should not deter you from visiting, as the water is said to have healing properties. Do you dare try a sip of it?
To the right of the entrance to the tourist information office is a model of the Elisenbrunnen, which is designed to help blind people in particular to feel the extensive building structure.
