Eifel-Höhen-Route
Kall
As you ride over the heights of the Eifel, new, magnificent views await you time and again. On the northern sections, you cycle through the Eifel National Park. The surroundings are just as varied as the altitude profile: sometimes open highland on the Dreiborn plateau, sometimes dense coniferous forests around the Dahlemer Binz, sometimes narrow gorges such as the juniper-covered Lampertstal, sometimes wide panoramic views as far as the High Fens. Whether it's the wild daffodil meadow in Hollerath or the reservoir landscape of Rursee, Urftsee and Obersee - the view surprises you anew around every bend. It's worth getting off the bike now and again, as there are numerous places to stop for refreshments along the Eifel-Höhen-Route, where regional specialties are served.
