David-Hansemann-Denkmal

Right at the beginning of Monheimsallee, in the green avenue park, there is a bronze monument to the Aachen merchant David Hansemann. He was the most important merchant of his time, who founded several companies, including the Aachen-Münchener Feuerversicherungsgesellschaft (1824) and the Aachener Verein zur Beförderung der Arbeitsamkeit (1834).
