The beautiful Burtscheid parks invite you to take a leisurely stroll or enjoy a long picnic with the whole family. Stroll along the pedestrian zone, which is an attractive quiet zone with its cafés, restaurants and small stores. But Burtscheid has even more to offer. As early as the 1st century, the Romans discovered the hot springs in what was then known as "Porcetum" and used them to alleviate their illnesses. A tradition that continues to this day, as the spa and bathing industry is largely based here, giving the town the title "Bad Aachen."
